My approach to photography is primarily explorative with a detailed look for narratives. When working I operate on an intuitive level, and my curiosity in life is essentially what drives my practice. My primary purpose is to convey sensory experiences and moods; to convey the invisible. I photograph to see and understand and to let others see and understand.

I am fascinated by how photography plays with our perception of time and place. This fascination is reflected in my subject matters, which often revolve around the sensuous perception, changeability and the story of places. I often work with lomo and polaroid cameras as their blurred, flawed expressions seem to mimic the way we see and remember.

By awakening an emotion through sensing, I hope to add to a reflection on our being in the world. I don’t shoot photographs, with the camera I paint a mood.
