My approach to photography is primarily explorative with a detailed look for narratives. When I work, I work on an intuitive level and my curiosity in life is essentially what drives my practice.

I am forever curious in exploring the way in which we as humans perceive the world: how both the camera and our eyes have a limited and selective focus and how our bodies are where our perception of the world arises. This fascination is reflected in my series, which often revolve around the sensuous perception, changeability and the story of places.

I am in search of a language to show the invisible connection - between human and nature and between us as humans. I aim to convey sensory experiences and moods; to convey the invisible. Using Holga- and Polaroid cameras allows me to drag focus on the sensing rather than documenting a selected motif. Long hikes are used as a method to get down into the body and connect with intuition. By evoking a feeling through perception, I hope to contribute to a reflection on our being in the world. I don’t shoot photographs, with the camera I paint a mood.
